R to L: FOODPLAY Founder Barbara Storper, MASS APPEAL Hosts Ashley Kohl and Seth Stutman pose with Alex and me after our taping.
Last spring I whole-heartedly accepted FoodPlay Productions’ invitation to return for a second tour, and just a few days later my best friend Seth Stutman earned a job offer from MASS APPEAL, a local take on The Today Show from Western Massachusetts’ NBC affiliate, WWLP.

Seth as Major Metcalfe and yours truly as Detective Trotter backstage at the Annie Russell Theatre before a performance of Agatha Christie's THE MOUSETRAP.
Seth and I have been good friends since our days at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL where we performed onstage together at the historic Annie Russell Theatre, worked on a summer research project, played in no less than fifty shows with our improvisational theatre troupe–Rollins Improv Players, tossed the frisbee on Mills Lawn, and became best buds doing all the things that college kids do.
Since our Rollins days, Seth and I have maintained our friendship–we were even fortunate enough to meet up across the pond in 2009 when he was teaching English in Prague and I was studying in London. To say the least, my second contract with FOODPLAY was sweetened in a big way with Seth’s new job as Host and Producer for MASS APPEAL.
Once Seth found his groove at WWLP, it wasn’t long before he started asking me for details about my work with FoodPlay Productions. I pointed him to my production manager Megan, who pointed him to FoodPlay’s inspired founder and executive director, Barbara Storper. The rest is history.

Seth and I tossing the frisbee on a brisk fall day at Lincoln's Inn Fields of London's West End.
Check out this segment, FoodPlay Teaches Healthy Living Habits, which features an interview with Barbara, a scene from the show, and a juggling lesson!
Thanks for having us Seth, Ashley and the rest of the team at MASS APPEAL. We had a blast!
Until next time, stay healthy!
