Here’s today’s bite-sized Hands-On Nutrition strategy!
Strategy #2: Make “Read It Before You Eat It!” your family’s and classrooms’s snack time slogan!
So that you’re not surprised by what’s inside, teach kids to read the Ingredient and Nutrition Facts labels to find out what’s really in the food they’re choosing.
Make a matching game at school, where kids get to match the food product with its ingredient label. Make it fun! Cool Whip or Shaving Cream—you decide!

I agree with this entirely. I’m now 34 years old and only began paying attention to what goes into my own body (let alone my kids) just last year (you’d be shocked by the amount of grams of sugar in a serving of juice…). Great post!
