Hey everyone!
It’s almost one of my favorite holidays….Thanksgiving! It’s a time for family and gratitude (and all the pies are pretty great, too!) Here are my best tips to stay healthy this season:
Eat Mindfully
I used to think eating everything in sight on Thanksgiving was a good idea! But that just left me with a tummy ache. Try instead savor every bite – this isn’t a meal that you have each day, so slow down and make it count.
Organize a Family Workout
You could choose a walk or hike, or an outdoor game like tag or football. Maybe there is a race in your town that everyone could walk or run in together. You could even hold your family’s first annual Thanksgiving dance party!
Eat Healthy Before and After Thanksgiving
This can help with what TMP syndrome (Too Much Pie!). I like to call this the Thanksgiving sandwich, because ideally you would have healthy meals the day before Thanksgiving, enjoy your Thanksgiving feast, and the next morning have something healthful again, whether it’s eggs, oatmeal, or even just lots of fruits and veggies.
Most of all, have fun and enjoy being healthy with your family. Happy Thanksgiving!
Luv,
Janey
