It’s Janey! Wow, what an exciting year 2015 was. I started eating healthy foods and being more active – and Coach says my juggling is better than ever!
When I was first starting my new lifestyle, it would have been helpful to have some written advice. I didn’t know the first thing about how to be healthy—I thought soda and chips were a good snack after juggling!
So in case you need a nudge in the right direction, here are some tips to help you out:
Believe in Yourself: You’ll never actually make the switch from horrible habits to healthy habits if you keep telling yourself you’re going to fail! Learn to trust yourself – you can make the right choices this year!
Eat Like A Rainbow: The more colors on your plate, the better! Don’t be afraid to try new fruits and vegetables. A goal of mine is to try to eat something from every color of the rainbow. Finding natural, beautifully colored foods from the earth is yummy, rewarding and good for you!
Find an Active Activity: Whether you want to go skiing, ice skating, or play basketball indoors, winter has plenty of great activities for you. Find something that makes you sweat and increases your heart rate. If you like it, you’ll stick with it
Be Forgiving: This should be a fun journey for everyone. You might make some mistakes, give up repeatedly, or forget some of the changes you’ve set for yourself. And that’s okay! It’s part of the process. Remember to forgive yourself and keep going.
Happy New Year!
Janey
