A great rap from Gary Hirshberg, President and CEO of Stonyfield about the benefits of Organic!

Could this rap be on a vidoe screen where more people can see it ?
This is an inspiring and UPBEAT piece of work — one that shows that even when the message being sent is difficult for people to take — it can be offered with joy and good will.
The real people singing; the colorful landscapes; images of farms as we’d like to believe they look, and then the contrasting “falling-apart farms,” and the wide range of images — all of this is terrific.
I am so grateful that images of animals are included — both the happier ones and especially those that have miserable lives. The “factory farms” and “captive animal feeding operation” (cafo) owners want to hide from people, these unspeakably cruel conditions to which these animals are subjected their entire lives, (each misery-filled day must make a life of four years such painful torture for their bodies, minds and emotional selves).
Supermarkets such as “Stop & Shop” and “Shaw’s” probably don’t want their customers seeing most of it.
They offer for sale so many of the brands the production of which hurts the planet and its inhabitants; and the majority of the brand products themselves are filled with ingredients that are not foods at all — but substances that supposedly make the product taste good. These are almost all unhealthy for people to eat — excess sugar, salt, vinegar and acids — especially in the amounts and combinations in which they’re prepared. These are truly junk: Doritos and Fritos corn chips; Cheese Nibs; Chex Snack Mix; and all of the cookies, cakes, pop- tarts and pudding snacks.
“Whole Foods Market,” some co-operative market-stores, and some “farmers’ markets” would probably welcome it.
I could go on and on — but better to post and tell others to watch this ! THANX !
