Another busy day at SNA Annual National Conference. Had a chance to meet some of the other exhibitors, and of course we were thrilled to find so many folks working hard to provide programs and products to help School Food Service (SFS) provide healthy meals and healthy environments.
Our neighbor, Julie Frank from SPARK, had fun balancing MyPlate in between talking to folks about her programs for coordinated school health.
The folks from Kay’s Naturals were showing off their protein rich, gluten free grab and go “mini-meals”.
It was awesome to see so many attendees flocking to the Dole booth for free bananas but the real treat was the spicy mango cup filled with fresh mangoes and sprinkled with a touch of spice—so good! Great to see basic whole foods being spotlighted.
Harmony Valley helps SFS folks mix up delicious meals with their convenient all natural products. According to Matt, the Hummus is the biggest hit and great way for SFS to get more legumes into their menus.
If you’re at the conference today, be sure to drop by and give balancing your plate a try!
