FOODPLAY Customized Program for Intermountain Healthcare - Tours 225 Schools across Utah

Intermountain Healthcare’s LiVe campaign has chosen to partner with FoodPlay Productions to help us reach kids on their level, where they LiVe, with messages that make it cool and fun to be healthy. Our partnership with FoodPlay in the creation of the co-branded LiVe—This Is Your Life! program is helping us effectively place our messages in 225 schools reaching over 90,000 students, plus their families. FoodPlay reinforces our other LiVe media strategies with a unique, entertaining, and thought-provoking vehicle. Based on the fantastic feedback from schools and widespread media coverage, we feel this is a highly effective way to promote healthy eating and active living to youth, while spotlighting the LiVe campaign throughout our target area.”

As part of the LiVe public service campaign, Intermountain Healthcare and SelectHealth expanded efforts to combat childhood obesity in a new educational theater program that toured Utah schools, addressing adolescent obesity, eating disorders, body image, and unhealthy media messages.  We created a special productoin of our This Is Your Life! theater show, along with a comprehensive This Is Your Life! – LiVe Resource Kit which included a co-branded Teacher’s Activity Kit, Playbill, Student Booklets, and Family Handouts.  For more THIS IS YOUR LIFE!

The LiVe—This is Your Life! show was part of Intermountain Healthcare’s ongoing LiVe public service campaign to promote healthy eating and active lifestyles. The cost of the program was underwritten by SelectHealth and was free to Utah schools. The theater show visited 75 of Utah’s junior high and middles schools each year for 3 years. Each school received a comprehensive follow-up school resource kit, including fun, hands-on lesson plans and reproducible activity sheets.
