Welcome to another FoodPlay Friday!
We’re still celebrating Physical Fitness and Sports Month here at FoodPlay Productions, with weekly blogging from members of our office staff. If you’ve missed these so far, be sure to check out I am a runner from our Program & Media Coordinator Hanna Bliss, and Working & Walking from our Production Manager, Megan Cannon. We have more to come as the month goes on!
With fitness in mind, I’ve turned to some of my favorite nutrition and food blogs for tips on active play, this month, starting with the Healthy Kids Challenge 4 Simple Ways to Add Play to A Summer Day. Quirky Momma chimes in, too, with Summer Time Bucket List: 50 Activities for the Kids.
Several bloggers have shared some personal activity joys this month, including Super Healthy Kids‘ Amy, who talks about racing season, The Active Kids Club‘s ode to family biking, and Chef Druk‘s Mother’s Day gift of the great outdoors. And on a practical note, the Food Network’s Healthy Eats blog explains what the big deal is with heart monitors.
Of course, I can’t resist linking to some delicious food to go along with all this play! Some of my recent favorites from the blogosphere include these Rainbow Wraps from Super Healthy Kids, this Fresh Quinoa Salad from Inspired RD, this Grilled Tilapia with Mango Salsa from The Jolly Tomato, and this Fruity Chicken and Rice Salad from Healthy Kids Challenge.
That’s all for this week! See you next FoodPlay Friday!
