FoodPlay Productions, an Emmy-Award-winning company is casting FOODPLAY, a fun-filled nutrition theater show featuring amazing juggling, colorful characters, motivating messages, music, magic, and audience participation to help children learn how to take charge of growing up healthy and fit. Rehearsals in January/February 2012, Performances run Jan/Feb 2012 thru June 2012 (depending on contracts) at schools across the US. Pay, travel, lodging, and on the road per diem.
Seeking – Coach: male or female with an energetic physicality. Must be willing to learn basic juggling. Janey/Johnny: male or female with a background in juggling, youthful appearance and energy. Advanced juggling and other special skills a plus. Must be proficient in basic juggling and willing to learn some tricks. Both actors must be able to present a good role model for young children, have a strong speaking voice, great stage presence, and an interest in working with children. Personal interest in health and nutrition is a plus. Both actors must be over 18 and have a valid driver’s license.

Ideal candidate has working knowledge of sound equipment, good organizational skills, penchant for travel. Presents positive role model for children, flexible, strong leader. Serves as ambassador, great with people, cool under pressure, positive attitude. Must have valid driver’s license. Company housing provided.

FoodPlay Productions, an Emmy-Award-winning company is casting “Trish’s Awesome Nutrition Mission,” a play whose purpose is to help promote good nutrition and healthy living habits among minority and urban youth. Geared to school grades K-6, it’s a high-energy piece filled with music, dance and humor, featuring two delightful characters.
First there’s Trish, the title character–a rambunctious, joyful, Cool Kid totally devoted to good nutrition and exercise. Then there’s Trish’s grandmother, Mama Rose–a loving and kind spirit, but someone who is too set in her ways with making too many poor nutrition and exercise choices.
Rehearsals in December 2011, Performances run Jan 2012 thru June 2012 at schools in the Philadelphia area, with occasional overnight travel. Must live in Philadelphia – housing is not provided. Pay, travel, and on the road per diem and lodging are provided. Both actors must be able to present a good role model for young children, have a strong speaking voice, great stage presence and an interest in working with children. Both actors must be over 18 and have a valid driver’s license.
