Healthy School Package

Everything you need to get the whole school on board!
Pre-show and follow-up resources keep the message alive all year!

Pre-Show Packet:

Follow-Up Materials:

I. FOODPLAY Teacher’s Follow-Up Activity Kit

Use these fun activities and reproducible activity sheets to reinforce and extend FOODPLAY’s healthy eating and active living lessons into the classroom and cafeteria.

Pick and choose the activities for your class! Fun, standards-based lesson plans, reproducible activity sheets, background information, and additional resources make it easy to teach nutrition as part of Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Media Literacy, Physical Education and Health!

Activities are keyed to curriculum areas and grade levels (Lower and Upper Elementary).

Kids Nutrition Video DownloadsII. FOODPLAY Video Shorts

Bring the magic of FOODPLAY back to the classroom with these exciting short videos (only 3-6 minutes each) that make nutrition and physical education come to life!  Each short video teaches an important nutrition lesson, and can be followed up with activities from the Teacher’s Follow-Up Activity Kit (see above), or just shown on its own!

III. FOODPLAY “Fruit + Veggie 5-A-Day!” Tracker Bands

Distribute Tracker Band Kits to your students and encourage them to eat more fruits and veggies every day. Each set includes 6 Tracker Bands, a bookmark with tips, and a tracking log.

Create a fun activity, contest, or campaign for at least a week – where kids put tracker bands on one wrist, and every time they eat a fruit or vegetable (or are physically active for 10 minutes) they get to move a band to the other wrist. At the end of the day, they can see if they’ve met their goal!

  • Tracker Bands will be sent to your school prior to the performance.

IV. FOODPLAY Snack Cards and Take the FOODPLAY Challenge! Cards

Distribute to students, encourage them to color the “Take the FOODPLAY Challenge!” side, bring home, and post on their fridge to remind their whole family of healthy snacks and tips to treat their bodies right.

  • The FOODPLAY Troupe will provide these prior to the performance.
